The Most Reverend Donald E. DeGrood has decreed the following appointments effective Oct. 2, 2025:
Father Andrew Young, in addition to his current assignment of pastor of Risen Savior, Brandon, and St. Rose of Lima, Garretson, to vicar general for the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
Father Andrew Dickinson, in addition to his current assignment of pastor of St. Magdalen, Lennox; St. Christina, Parker, St. Katharine Drexel, Sioux Falls, and St. Nicholas, Tea, to vicar general for Set Ablaze.
Father James Mason, remaining pastor of Holy Spirit, Sioux Falls, and St. Dominic, Canton, has been relieved of the assignment of vicar of clergy for the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
Father Scott Traynor, remaining executive director of Broom Tree, has been relieved of his assignment as vicar for lay and clergy formation and assigned as subject matter consultant for the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
Dr. Chris Burgwald, STD, is appointed chancellor for the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
Mr. Phillip Eisenburg is appointed chief financial officer for the Diocese of Sioux Falls.
