Marriage Preparation Classes
Priests and others have generously volunteered their time and talents to lead a series of marriage preparation programs for the diocese to supplement the individual preparation you will receive with your priest. Your priest will likely ask you to attend one of these programs or an Engaged Encounter Weekend. Classes are available the first four Thursdays of October, February, and May from 7 pm to 9 pm at St. Mary’s parish in Sioux Falls. If you would like to register, please contact the priest or deacon who is conducting your marriage preparation.
Engaged Encounter Weekend
Catholic Engaged Encounter is a weekend away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life, giving you, as a couple, the privacy to talk honestly and intensively with each other. They use a dynamic process based on listening, writing, and dialogue. The process encourages you to concentrate on your relationship. Couples of all ages find Catholic Engaged Encounter a rewarding experience.
