aMAIZEing Time in Mitchell
Team three had a busy start to the week, but we all were back together Monday afternoon! We have had an amazing time in Mitchell and have really enjoyed getting to know the community here. We were very blessed with the opportunity to go to daily mass and adoration throughout the week. Having the PES brothers and the Fransiscan sisters here was a huge blessing!
We had lots of kids and energy in our day program group this week. They were fun to get to know and we taught them all about prayer and their personal relationship with God! Our evening program was great this week as well. We really enjoyed small groups and the discussions that we had. We had a great group of high school girls who are very interested in their faith life and growing in prayer. It was also a gift to see the many ways that the diocese has provided opportunities for them to grow. Many of them mentioned getting more involved in their faith lives through having the PES community in town and because of various camps and retreats put on by the diocese.
Our last night of the evening program we had a bonfire at the PES brothers formation house. That was a lot of fun for everyone who was able to make it! It has been a gift to spend the week in Mitchell and we will conclude our trip here with a visit to the Corn Palace!
