Hello everyone!
Team One spent week two in Groton, and the energy here has been incredible! The number of songs and games the kids taught us was amazing, but even more inspiring were the questions they asked in class and their eagerness to dive deeper into Bible stories. Their curiosity and joy were truly contagious!
What stood out to me most this week is how often we tend to look inward. In school, across all age levels, there’s a constant focus on personal advancement. But this week has been different. We’re learning to look beyond ourselves and toward something so much greater. We’ve been exploring the role of the Holy Spirit and discovering that the greatest of all virtues is charity (love).
The kids have such a genuine desire to learn more songs/games, include others, grow in their knowledge of God, and share it all with their friends and families. During small groups, the high schoolers were talking about seeing everyone as brothers and sisters in Christ, acknowledging that we are all children of God.
I’m experiencing this shift within myself as well. A move from focusing on my own needs and agenda to glorifying God in all things. It’s been such a blessing to realize that when we turn our attention outward, toward God and his work in the world, everything begins to fall into place. Life feels lighter, clearer and filled with greater purpose.
