Groton
Team 3 had a great time in Groton this week! We had our biggest day program group so far with about 40 kids. They were so fun to hang out with and they learned a lot about prayer throughout the week. They loved playing all of the games, and we also had a great time going to mass together for some of the days!
The evening group was also great! We tried out some extra fun activities with them this week. On Sunday we went out and ran around town for a scavenger hunt. Monday we played basketball with the whole group. Tuesday the girls and guys split off for a fun activity together and Wednesday we had a water fight. We ended the week on Thursday with a fun night of games and snacks because the rain ruined our bonfire plans, but we were still able to have a blast together for our final night!
Overall it was such a great week and Groton has an amazing community. We are so thankful for everyone we met here, and for the fun we got to have with the kids! One blessing that stood out to me from the week was the random conversations that I had with some of the high schoolers where our faith was brought up without me starting the conversation. It is so cool to see our pressence in a community make a difference in the lives of the people we meet!
