Week 5

D-Camp!! We love D-Camp, yes we do! We love D-Camp, how ‘bout you?!

Personally I love D-Camp, or Discipleship Camp, so much! We have so many different ways to see and feel the Lord work during camp, and He takes every opportunity to do so! Especially throughout the things you wouldn’t think He would! Like during a rock paper scissors relay race while wearing costumes and holding a balloon between your and your friend’s back, or while you’re up way too late with all of the kids buzzing about everything that happened that day, you might want to sleep, but it is great to see the community grow deeper as camp progresses. It was amazing to see the progression in all of the junior high kids especially, because most of them this was their first time at camp, so they were hesitant at first to fully give into the goofiness of camp, rightfully so, but it was still incredible to see them open up in discussions, singing songs, participating in the games, and really being there for each other.

A fun part of having the middle school camp is that we have what we call junior counselors. Which are kids still in high school that help in leadership positions? They help us lead small groups, be in skits, be roles in games, and help with prayer teams. A lot of the junior counselors this year also participated in one of the high school camps, and it was amazing to get to see their growth from camper to counselor. They really stepped up to the challenge, and it was another witness that what we do as missionaries is working, having impact, and bearing fruit. We see it in so many ways, but this is one that feels so so cool.

Thank you all for your support in all different ways, prayers, donations, time, energy, it doesn’t go unseen!
