Week 1 – St. Patrick – Montrose

Team 1 – Montrose – St. Patrick

The greatest grace I received this week at Saint Patrick in Montrose has been a deep, faith-filled joy. Living each day focused on honoring God and sharing his love with others has brought a new kind of happiness into my life, one I’m incredibly grateful for. There’s something beautiful about seeing how God works through simple, everyday moments to fill our hearts with gladness.
The day program has been so much fun! The kids bring energy, curiosity, and laughter into every activity. Whether we’re doing skits, playing games, or singing songs, it’s been a joy to walk alongside them. But what’s touched me most are the quiet moments, sitting with them at snack or lunch and simply talking. Those conversations have been such a blessing. Even though teaching the classes can be challenging at times, the excitement on their faces when they understand something makes it all worth it.

The night program has been an absolute blast, too! Starting with games helps everyone relax and enjoy the evening. But my favorite part has been the small groups with the high school girls. Getting to know them on a deeper level and sharing how we can all grow in our faith together has been such a gift. I also can’t say enough about my amazing team! This community rooted in Christ has brought friendships that I know will last a lifetime. On top of all that, the time we’ve spent with local families and just hanging out with the high schoolers outside of program hours has been a constant source of happiness. Every interaction leaves me smiling and excited for what’s next.
