Week 5 – Christ the King Parish – Webster

This week, Team 3 traveled to Christ the King Parish in Webster. It was a beautiful week filled with fun, laughter and coffee! We really enjoyed our time in Webster. We stayed with wonderful families and our meals were all delicious. It was such a blessing to be received with so much kindness and generosity again this week.

The morning program was awesome! The students ranged from pre-K through sixth grade, and we had about 30 students each day. We had Mass, played fun games, and the kids really enjoyed recess at the park. They enjoyed the game “Night at the Museum” as well. We also had classes, and the students asked really great questions. Some of the older kids got to go to confession throughout the week as well. It was so awesome to see them receive the merciful love of the Father! We rounded out the week with a water fight at the park.

During the night program, we had about 15-20 students. We gave talks, shared in fellowship and small group time, and played fun games. A highlight of the week was a walk to get ice cream with the teens on Wednesday night. The teens really enjoyed playing Among Us IRL throughout the week as well. For our relational ministry this week, we got coffee from Brewhouse Boutique with some of the girls and the boys got to go fishing. We had adoration and confessions throughout the week as well. I was very moved by how many students went to confession and how prayerful and reverent they all were during adoration. On Thursday night, we split the group into three teams and had a scavenger hunt around town!
