This week, Team One was in Sioux Falls with Saint Mary’s and Holy Spirit!
The Lord continues to work in so many beautiful places, and this week, he truly showed us his strength. He reminded me to rely solely on him, knowing that I can do nothing on my own, but all things through Christ. Jesus Christ is incredibly powerful, and it’s through time in prayer, adoration, and receiving him in the Eucharist that my teammates and I were able to power through another amazing week.
It’s honestly eye-opening to look back on different moments in my life and realize how much better things could have gone if I had simply trusted God instead of trying to fix everything myself. I was reminded of a beautiful quote: “Stop trying to calm the storm. Calm yourself; the storm will pass.” That really speaks to how we’re called to live. We can’t fix everything, we can’t solve every problem, we’re not in control. But we can choose how we respond. So, how can I remain calm in the storm and surrender everything else to the Lord?
This week was one of the more challenging ones. It came right before our break, there was a lot of energy, and so on, but even through that, God used the experience to show me where I still need to grow in my relationship with him. I continue to ask him to keep teaching me, to help me lean on his strength, and to help me draw closer to him!
Thank you all so much for your support this summer! Your prayers and encouragement mean the world.
